I must acknowledge the atrocity
of humanity’s distinct velocity
to reach toward decisions
that exhibit pure monstrosity
United we stand to universally divide
Driven by power, acting out on pride
The folly of it all is we reach to war
Why? To become more unified….
Justice can’t be served by any man
For that action too, dirties their hand
Only through love can we prevent
The collapse of our motherland
If you look beyond the drawing of paper and crayon
You’ll see a vague impression of who I really am
Shift your eyes away from each methodically made mark
See the person who has battled her way from the dark
Each and every color a story of what I have battled
The number of hues not even measuring the ways I’ve been rattled
My life reflected in the various high and low-lights
Abuse, neglect and the internal fights
